"Kitchen Cupboard" Healthy Snacks

This post is going to be some healthy concoctions or easy snacks you can find in your kitchen cupboard!

Lets start with the least exciting.

1. Baked Crisps
Savoury food is definitely my weakness especially crisps! I looked how much salt and fat they had in them and I was shocked they wee loaded so I cut crisps out of my diet completely, until I discovered these they have 70% LESS fats and salts in them and a smaller portion but you still know they are crisps and that your not messing your diet up by eating them!

This next one is a sweet concoction I thought of making.

2. strawberry and raspberry clusters

These were so easy to make and so yummy!
I don't know the measurements I just used what I had in my cupboards it is pretty self explanatory

Ingredients;
  1. Any type of granola (I used strawberry, raspberry but any will do)
to make the syrup you need

  1. raw honey
  2. water
its that easy the all you do is mix them up and put them in a saucepan and warm over a medium heat, stirring until the honey  dissolves then store it in the fridge this should keep fro quite a long time!

after your syrup is made simply mix it in with your granola, use a little or a lot as much as you want obviously the more you add the sweeter they will be!

Now leave them in the fridge for about 30 mins. these keep quite well and are great for a quick snack!

This next one is quite unusual but is great for those of you with a sweet tooth

3. Hot Pop

This is as easy as it gets its just Robinsons juice but instead of diluting it with cold water, boil some water in the kettle and add that. this isn't a "snack" as such but it does fill  you up and keep you going for longer!

4. fruit mix and dip

choose your favourite fruits and prepare them how you like then add some dipps on the side so every mouthful is different. this is a great way for people that find fruit "boring" to get their daily amout.

Dips I recommend

Yo, Strawberry Dip
1 container of strawberry yogurt . Serve with grapes, pineapple slices and fresh strawberries.

Whippy White Chocolate Fruit Dip
Sprinkle ½ a packet of instant white chocolate pudding mix over an 8 ounce container of whipped topping. Whisk together until smooth. Especially good when served with sliced green apples.

Choco Dip
Melt ½ cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips and ¼ cup of heavy whipping cream together and heat in the microwave until steaming (about 1-2 minutes). Stir together briskly until the mixture becomes smooth. Serve with fresh strawberries and orange slices

Fluffy Dip
In a small bowl, beat together 8 ounces of cream cheese and 1 cup of marshmallow cream with an electric mixer. Serve with your favourite fresh fruits for dipping.

I know what you're thinking "chocolate isn't healthy" but it depends on the amount you eat I would say 2 teaspoons of any dip would be enough for a single serving. that would be just enough to get some fats and sugars in your diet so it will be balanced!

There are some healthy snacks that I through together from what I found in my cupboards you can adapt any of them to suit you and experiment with what you have in your cupboards the outcomes are endless and very yummy!!
