Heatless Hairstyles Perfect For Summer

Unfortunately I don't have any photos of these hairstyles yet. there was no natural lighting when I needed to take them, they will be upload shortly.

1.Half Up Top Knot Hairstyle

You will need a hair elastic and bobby pins.

First brush all of your hair backwards
Take half of your hair on to the crown of your head pulling it really tight
Start twisting the hair un till it starts wrapping around itself and when it creates a doughnut shape Secure it with an elastic
Pull at the doughnut until you are happy with the looseness or tightness
Push down on the doughnut and secure it onto your head with bobby pins
This part is optional but at this stage I like to pull out some hair in the front just to frame my face.

2. Braided side bun

You will need a hair elastic and bobby pins

First start a braid from your ear, collecting strands of hair until all the hair is in the braid and you have met your other ear
Wrap it around creating the doughnut shape again
Secure the bun with bobby pins
You can also bull front pieces out to make it look less put together!

The last hair style is a loose bun

You will need 2 hair elastics and some bobby pins

first loosely gather all of your hair to the back of your head and secure it with an elastic
Pull pieces out until you are happy with how it looks
Gather all of your pony tail into on hand and squeeze and tist and wrap and do whatever to create Some messy shape and then secure it with an elastic
sSecure it to your head using bobby pins and push all of the hair that falls out back in.

"My Hair Story Tag"

I know I said my next post would be summery up dos, but my hair has been impossible to work with today so hopefully that will go up tomorrow!

I thought I would keep it related to hair though, so here is "my hair story tag"

1. What kind of hair were you born with? Bright blonde and super curly!

2. How did your hair change as your grew and evolved? It obviously grew but it started getting a lot darker around the age of six.

3. Have you ever had a hair disaster? It wasn't a disaster at the time but I regret it now!
when I was 12/13 I decided I wanted a change, so I had blonde high lights and warm low lights at the same time! I loved it when I had it done but over time my natural ashy brown started to come through and the blonde and red mixed together so my hair looks ginger now! I absolutely love ginger
hair but my hair isn't ginger all over my roots are still brown so it doesn't look right :(

4. Have you ever coloured your hair? and if yes, when? Yes I do it every 2 months but I only use the castings because they do not damage your hair like the permanent ones! The castings I use are the L'Oreal Casting Crème Gloss.

5. Your top 3 must have hair products you can't live without?
2. Sea salt texturizing spray Toni and Guy Casual Styling Kit I usually buy the 200ml bottle but it seems impossible to get a hold of, so I have linked the styling kit which includes the 75ml bottle and a shampoo and conditioner which I also love so its not all bad. Its just a lot smaller than the one I usually buy!
3. Now of course ill link my favourite shampoo and conditioner, I know that's two things but they count as one really because I never shampoo without conditioning! OGX Weightless Hydration Coconut Water Shampoo and OGX Weightless Hydration Coconut Water Conditioner  I love those because they moisturize your hair with out making heavy and with out leaving any residue!
6. Your "go to" hair style? If I'm lucky enough I can get away with my hair natural because its naturally wavy, I hate using heat on my hair so I just leave it, however sometimes only the underneath is wavy so I have a half up half down and do a little bun on the crown of my head!

7. Your hair idol? Selena Gomez, her hair always looks so healthy and really pretty no matter what style!
8. What do you love about your hair? Last year I  had my hair cut shoulder length so now its really healthy so I guess I love that!

Back To School Seasonal Swaps

The Easter holidays are nearly over, school is around the corner, so now is about the time everyone is restocking on pens and pencils, buying new uniform or new clothes if you are lucky enough not to wear uniform. this post is going to be some of my spring/summer school essentials.

Ditch the trousers for skirts-
you know summer is approaching when everyone is in skirts with thin tights ! I prefer skirts so much more so they are definitely a summer essential! the skirt I have ordered is from Topshop.   I haven't got it yet because they didn't have my size in store so I have had to order it online. im so excited to wear it.

Makeup -
Swap lipsticks for balms. For school you don't always have access to mirrors so unless you are an expert at applying lipsticks I suggest a tinted lip balm, it still gives you a hint of colour and cares for them at the same time but you don't need the precision you do with lipsticks! You can get them with SPF in them too which is great for summer!
Swap foundation for BB creams. BB creams also have SPF in them. There are some bb creams that have amazing coverage too, I just feel they are lighter and better for your skin so that's definitely my go to face makeup. Along with a mineral matt powder just to get rid of the "glow" you get when its hot.
A summery body mist rather than perfume it is less strong and you can apply it throughout the day!

Hair-
As its hot you are more likely to take your hair up but it doesn't have to be a simple pony tail!
My next post is going to be some summer up dos suitable for school so if you want some ideas come back to see my favourite up dos for school.

Its not just the style of your hair that you change it can also be the colours. In summer your hair will naturally get lighter anyway but some people like to dye it lighter, which can be fun to experiment with to find what suits you.

They're some of my seasonal swaps for school I hope these got you all excited for summer and helped you in anyway possible!

"Kitchen Cupboard" Healthy Snacks

This post is going to be some healthy concoctions or easy snacks you can find in your kitchen cupboard!

Lets start with the least exciting.

1. Baked Crisps
Savoury food is definitely my weakness especially crisps! I looked how much salt and fat they had in them and I was shocked they wee loaded so I cut crisps out of my diet completely, until I discovered these they have 70% LESS fats and salts in them and a smaller portion but you still know they are crisps and that your not messing your diet up by eating them!

This next one is a sweet concoction I thought of making.

2. strawberry and raspberry clusters

These were so easy to make and so yummy!
I don't know the measurements I just used what I had in my cupboards it is pretty self explanatory

Ingredients;
  1. Any type of granola (I used strawberry, raspberry but any will do)
to make the syrup you need

  1. raw honey
  2. water
its that easy the all you do is mix them up and put them in a saucepan and warm over a medium heat, stirring until the honey  dissolves then store it in the fridge this should keep fro quite a long time!

after your syrup is made simply mix it in with your granola, use a little or a lot as much as you want obviously the more you add the sweeter they will be!

Now leave them in the fridge for about 30 mins. these keep quite well and are great for a quick snack!

This next one is quite unusual but is great for those of you with a sweet tooth

3. Hot Pop

This is as easy as it gets its just Robinsons juice but instead of diluting it with cold water, boil some water in the kettle and add that. this isn't a "snack" as such but it does fill  you up and keep you going for longer!

4. fruit mix and dip

choose your favourite fruits and prepare them how you like then add some dipps on the side so every mouthful is different. this is a great way for people that find fruit "boring" to get their daily amout.

Dips I recommend

Yo, Strawberry Dip
1 container of strawberry yogurt . Serve with grapes, pineapple slices and fresh strawberries.

Whippy White Chocolate Fruit Dip
Sprinkle ½ a packet of instant white chocolate pudding mix over an 8 ounce container of whipped topping. Whisk together until smooth. Especially good when served with sliced green apples.

Choco Dip
Melt ½ cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips and ¼ cup of heavy whipping cream together and heat in the microwave until steaming (about 1-2 minutes). Stir together briskly until the mixture becomes smooth. Serve with fresh strawberries and orange slices

Fluffy Dip
In a small bowl, beat together 8 ounces of cream cheese and 1 cup of marshmallow cream with an electric mixer. Serve with your favourite fresh fruits for dipping.

I know what you're thinking "chocolate isn't healthy" but it depends on the amount you eat I would say 2 teaspoons of any dip would be enough for a single serving. that would be just enough to get some fats and sugars in your diet so it will be balanced!

There are some healthy snacks that I through together from what I found in my cupboards you can adapt any of them to suit you and experiment with what you have in your cupboards the outcomes are endless and very yummy!!

Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm

As summer is around the corner i wanted to ditch the makeup and go for a more natural look.
i hate nothing more than being hot and caked in makeup, not only does it feel yucky but it does nothing beneficial for your skin.

Today i wanted to do a review on the BURT'S BEES tinted lip balm. i bought this a couple of days ago and i fell in love with it! Its an amazing alternative to a lipstick or gloss! It does what it says it does, it moisturizes and adds a hint of colour not too much but not to little so its not worth the money! this is quite pricey for the amount of product but you definitely get what you pay for the quality of this product is amazing it lasts for such a long time and you only need to use the tiniest bit.

it doesn't feel waxy at all which is quite ironic because its made from bees wax, another reason i love it, its made from 100% natural ingredients!

The colour i am wearing is Hibiscus. You can see the shine, nourishment and colour this product adds to your lips! This is definitely a product i have been reaching for recently I'm planning on buying some more colours because i am so happy with this product a big thumbs up from me. I definitely recommend this to anyone with pale lips or just people who want to add some more colour to their lips. this product is suitable for anyone! like i said the only down fall is the size of the product but the quality makes up for it!

I hope this was helpful to any of you contemplating buying this product!
